Sr. Lalamea’s second renewal of religious vows

Congratulation to sister Lalamea Vaohea on her second renewal of religious vows as Sister Disciple of the Divine Master!

The rite took place during the mass presided over by Fr. Michael Goonan, ssp, in our chapel in Strathfield, NSW.

Sister Lalamea came to Australia from Tonga to pursue her vocation, strongly drawn to follow Jesus as her beloved Master and to proclaim Him to the world as the Way, the Truth and the Life, through the Eucharistic, Priestly and Liturgical mission.

She completed her two-year Novitiate in Manila (Philippines) together with other Filipino and Chinese companions. They made their first religious vows of chastity, poverty and obedience on February 10th 2022.

Upon her return to Australia, sister Lalamea pursues her religious formation as temporary professed sister. The sister in temporary vows continues her personal process of appropriating the evangelical and charismatic values and the integration of the experience of God with life in community and in the mission at the service of the Kingdom. She dedicates herself to theological studies and experiences community and apostolic life according to the common project.

On the 10th of February, in different parts of the world many young members of the Congregation renewed their religious profession while 8 sisters (from Brazil, Burkina Faso, Congo and India) made their final vows in Rome. This year, on that day we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Congregation. The loving commitment of our sisters is a true blessing to the Church and to our religious family.

We wish sister Lalamea and all her companions every blessing on her journey of sanctification and apostolate!
